About
A quieter place for the books you actually finish.
MyBooks is a reading companion for people who buy more books than they read — and who would like help reading more of them.
Why it exists
Lists are easy. Finishing isn't.
Most reading apps track what you bought. MyBooks starts with what you actually finished — and what stuck. Your taste is built from signals you give on purpose, not from a scrape of your cart.
How it works
A librarian, not a feed.
Chat with an assistant that remembers what you've read, what you liked about it, and what you're in the mood for. Ask for three books this weekend, or something slow, or something like the last one but shorter. It remembers.
What it doesn't do
No streaks. No scores. No ads.
There's no leaderboard to climb, no reading streak to protect, no feed of strangers' reviews to scroll. Your shelf is yours. No ads in the margins — ever.
Who built it
One reader, one shelf.
MyBooks is built by one person who reads too much and wanted a quieter place to keep track. It's indie and self-funded. No investors to please, no exit to engineer — just a tool to make next year's reading a little better than this year's.
The reading app I wanted to use.
So I'm building it.
Signing in creates your shelf.
